Teaching Assistant

Job description

We are looking for part-time teaching assistants (5-12.5 hours per week, with opportunities for additional work) interested in helping some of the smartest kids on the planet learn the collaborative, problem-solving skills that they will need to unlock the opportunities and solve the challenges their generation will inevitably encounter. The work is, quite simply, life changing, as you watch the kids grow together as a team, and then leap up the learning curve, together.

Curious? Our starting compensation is $25/hr. We also offer complete scheduling flexibility, and we need facilitators in all time zones.

Job requirements

We believe students learn best through action, careful observation, and thoughtful conversations. Therefore, our teaching assistants are comfortable stepping back and allowing the students to help each other make sense of a problem and experiment with their own solutions.

The role of the TA consists primarily of two objectives:

1. Ensure all of the technical aspects of the class, from assigning Zoom breakout rooms to running the games on our in-house software, run smoothly;

2. Support the facilitator's attempts to create a positive and welcoming community for the students.
